New 42mm Offshores with Integrated Flyback

Hodinkee announced five new 42mm Offshores with the integrated flyback chrono. This is exactly what I've been waiting for!! The rose gold with blue petite tapisserie in particular is just...

Original article with pricing: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/fi...-oak-offshores

Does anyone remember what MSRP was on these before the in-house fly back?

The prices on this release seem very high to me and I am betting we are gonna see the same with a new ROC ($40k).

I'm a bit confused because Hodinkee's pricing is higher than AP's site for the bracelet versions. AP is showing $37,500 for the 26238ST/TI and $76,000 for the 26238RO. The strap version prices match.

If I take the AP site's pricing to be correct, the price jumps from $33,200 (modular 26237ST) to $37,500 (integrated 26238ST).

When I got my Ghost in 2019, MSRP was US$27.9k.

These new 42s on strap are now $34k. A $6k pick up over two years and you get an in house flyback chrono is a pretty solid deal

New ROC in SS whenever it comes out will def be sub $40k which compared to Patek is a bargain (all relative though!)

Nice update, but a little disappointed they didn't go to ceramic pushers/crown. Also not sure if the ring/sausage around the date window is an improvement.

Don't think I saw this mentioned: The AP website states that the 42mm bracelet models also have the new interchangeable strap system. If that can be retrofitted, I will add that to my 26237 Beast and switch between strap/bracelet.

100% agreed. The pushers still date these new models compared to the new 43’s.

Love they didn't get rid of the 42mm line... at the end of the day it is the original Offshore design...

I understand rubber pushers on the three Beast models, but the circle around the date is a no go for me...

Speaking of green and blue, love the color sheme but:

1. Why going back from current 42 ROOs and add rubber pushers instead of ceramic... these models are not some heritage models to do this?

2. The size and type of font in subdials is downgrade from current ROOS and the Beast...

3. The new movement adds another 0.6 mm to already not so ideal thickness and proportions...

Photo must be in a SGD... it's USD $59,100 / GBP £52,800 which is equally insane given that the previous generation rose gold diver 15711OI is only $37,400. I feel like the price is either wrong or you're getting more than just the watch for that $$$

Love the new 42mm offshore releases.

Find it strange that on AP website that these new 42mm offshores movement are not stated as "MANUFACTURE CALIBRE" as the new 43mm offshores movement tho quite a number of online sites reported the new releases are all stating its in-house fly movement.
Hope its just a typo by AP or its actually not a full AP manufactured in-house movement.

I've asked my SA previously on this, won't be so soon, only starts next year onwards. Can't wait for this too.

Loving the new baby blue release and the price on that ceramic diver is just nuts

So why could they keep the dial lay out on the 42 but not the 43?

Interesting that even with the new integrated movement, the 42mm requires a date magnification window whereas the 43mm range doesn't need it. I am guessing it's because the extra plate in the 42mm model means the date is recessed too deeply and needs a magnifier.
