Royal Oak 50th Anniversary releases. What should we expect?

I am very excited about the upcoming releases next year for the 50th anniversary of the RO. I know for sure there will be a new 41 steel Chrono because My SA has already asked me which color i would like once its available. Of course i said the blue one. Apparently there will be black and white as well.

I also think we get a completely new 15202.

I also think we might get some special dial or materials for the 15500. Perhaps we get a ceramic 3 hander as well and maybe a salmon dial platinum.

What other release do you guys expect?
Do you expect any more discontinuations apart from the current 15202?

I'd love to see a ceramic 15202 farewell edition, both in black with grey dial and white with blue dial. The latter would be a fun summer watch, just a little smaller and cleaner than the white 26579.

I just hope they have a quick date set function for the 15202.

Maybe a diamond baguette version of 15500 and navy blue ceramic qp. Definitely a farewell edition of 15202. Just like 5711 green.

I believe that the blue QP is this year, possibly soon. That's not fact, rather inference, but I'm reasonably confident that it's not a 2022/50th edition.

I wish for 50th anniversary they would make an exact recreation of the 5402, perhaps just with the updated clasp. But sounds like that won't be happening...

The 50th anniversary would be the perfect occasion to release new 39mm models (not just a new Jumbo).

I know, right? It's all theoretical nonsense.

Bingo! Not sure how likely that is, but a new 39mm 3-hander similar to the 15300 would be awesome. I would get on that list ASAP.

With today's watch trends that size makes sense, but since the 15500 is in such demand, it's probably not really a priority for AP.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I’m with you. In terms of what 2022 holds, AP is last on my list of concerns. Who cares about all of these special editions and cool models when a vast majority of people can’t even get any simple Royal Oak? Hell, I don’t even think you can get a Code right now without jumping through hoops.

Maybe I’ll get excited about the 3rd Anniversary of the Code

I agree. No point in getting excited when you can’t get anything. I was interested in getting a RG blue dial Code and no availability. My AP boutique tells me they’ll let me know if anything comes in. Said same thing when I asked for the 26480 ti and 15450. No way I’m jumping through hoops to get a Code

You know what you should expect?

Something that's only accessible to grey market dealers to inflate the prices of an price gouge.

It's a shame where we've ended up, really.

My understanding is that there will be quite a few new pieces for 2022.

Especially to tie in with the 50th/25th Anniversary for the Jumbo/ROC respectively.

Maybe see the first of these in Feb '22?
