It's not ugly. It doesn't look much different from the TT Sub. That's not the point.
This is like painting Ferrari to British Racing Green. Gold just doesn't belong to a SD. That's just f***'n STUPID. My 2c.

I won’t be buying it but I think it’s great. It will certainly have a market....in effect it’s for those that want a bigger Sub

The "tool watch" yadda yadda is irrelevant to me. The deepest I ever dived is 10 to 15 feet with a spear, a flashlight, and a Casio. If I ever bought a TT SD, it would be because to me it looks badass, and is very first world problems. Simple as that. First on the list, congrats, hopefully it won't be like waiting for a Countdown To Extinction. |

It looks looks better in live action shots but I'm just still not a TT guy. Especially on a watch with the presence of a SD43.

I completely agree. They are all pretty amazing in my opinion. There are some that are not quite my cup of tea, but are pretty outstanding.
In this case, I really like the TT SD.

Far too blingy just needs a few diamonds to finish it off.

TT on a SD? It works.
Rolex watches are not tool watches these days; they're jewelry - and the TT SD is just another confirmation of that fact. They stopped being tool watches when the reference numbers went from 5-digits to 6-digits. |

I am still trying to understand how the gold would negatively affect it's performance. It is still a fully functional tool watch. I don't get the anxiety about this this.
