gaspump in your house

Anyone has a vintage usa gas pump in his house? I was spotting recently one and i felt in love but my wife is anti gas station in our dining room
She thinks we look like a bunch of lunatics if we putt one in our house
anyone that got his wife so far to do so? i think it looks real cool actually

Wow, you and I could be brothers. Any of my gas and oil memorabilia is destined for the garage. I almost picked up a 5ft vintage porcelain Texaco sign last weekend when we were in Dayton, wasn’t sure if it’d have fit in the car and was priced at $1,300.00. I still need a large piece for over the workbench.

I love the old gas pumps, what a great night light/conversation piece!

Best of luck trying to convince her!
Just for the record I vote yes on the gas pump!

The garage is forever evolving...

I recognized it but couldn't place it. I went through all the other technologies but always considered myself lucky that I didn't have to suffer through the kerchunk kerchunk of the old eight track players. That and how big the tapes themselves were.

My wife would give our second child (the one we never had) for a garage like that.

My oversized two-car one is overflowing with stuff. Between all those chain saws, trimmers, blowers, throwers and mowers there are about 20 small gas engines in there.

Here's the way my basement looks

I have a gem of a wife... I do... she only starts complaining when metal shavings make their way to the main floor.

When I saw that 2,500 sq feet basement I said: "We are buying!"

Chuck I always wanted that one as a kid, didn’t get it until I was about 40 though, still works great, takes 8 D batteries if you want it to be portable!

Hey - I agree with your wife!!
It may look good in your garage though. It's something I have never considered but having just had a quick search, some of the really old ones look great - but what a price!

i will not show her this
I am unsure pricewise, i guess it is cheaper over there than here in the EU... Did you found a page somewhere where they sell them? they cost about 3/4k here in euro.

Thanks brother, I’m working on two vintage porcelain signs, hopefully within the next month they’re going to be mine.
