What is a good watch box?

5 or 10 watches. I picked up a Wolf one that arrived the other day and I wasn't impressed, especially not considering the price - the pillows were too small and of poor quality, and they didn't fit very well in the draw. For $300 I would expect something much better.

Really don't need something with mirror, glass etc.

I'm on the quest for a 4-6 watch box, too. Haven't quite found the right balance between look, quality and affordability.

I had a woodworker that made the one for 15 for me. The one for 3 is my Omega leather box - they also have the one for 6 - which is very nice for travel.

I have an Orbita teak watch box that I'm very happy with. They come in different woods also.

Here's mine. It's a simple no name brand that cost less than 100 bucks, but it does it's job.

It's the watches that make the box

This^^^^^^They are safe, grab and go and don't have to worry about too many people realizing its holding watches. Unless you want a display case sitting on top of a dresser it's the best way to go..

My pieces go in individual boxes. Although my house is armed to the hilt, I still stash each one in different places around the house. I'd rather lose a few rather than a lot. Lived in NYC and got robbed twice. They simply did exactly what you described. No one noticed the guys leaving my apartment with suitcases. Subtle... That was a lesson learned.

A good watch box is a rare animal in my opinion. The ones that are inexpensive and look nice don't seem to hold up. The ones that are well made are usually crazy expensive for what you get (IMHO).

For you cigar smokers who might know this reference, I wish Siglo would make a watch box. Or someone would make a watch box of similar style and quality as a Siglo humidor. Yes they are a bit pricey but very well made.

I have thought about trying to make watch boxes and sell them myself since I live and a land of nice wood and good wood craftsmen. Maybe I should do that after all . . .

Smart, Mister. I have a few cigar boxes. I love the cedar but would others? Great idea.

Somebody on the forum recommended these in the past, I am buying one this week, but only to then put the roll inside a safe (it is partly why I am mot super fussed how great my box looks). So I can't verify their quality they ship directly from their manufacturing site in Hong Kong inside a week. To me they look quite modern and are neither super cheap nor super expensive. Will give a review in a couple of weeks when it arrives.

I just received the Wolf 10 watch box and while the case itself is Ok, the pillows really are poorly designed.

Wow, that's a hard lesson; sorry to hear it!

BTW, did you mean your house is armed or alarmed to the hilt..?

I too have been searching for a box.

I finally came across this
Buben and Zorweg Vantage 10. It is also available in 18 as well

The 10 is retail $1600USD
I am getting close to pulling the trigger on one.

I also really want one of these but have not had any luck locating one

I have the same box and agree. The pillows are too small. And the accessories draw underneath needs a few more mm of height.

Agreed 100% and so is the Buben and Zorweg Vantage 10 box. I've been searching far and wide for a watch case as well and will have a look at at the B & Z box. Love it except the price tag.

Thanks for the suggestion, David.
