Or maybe the BLRO and BLNR2 become more available shortly and the prices of the BLNR1 will either remain the same or see a slight-significant drop.

No one has a crystal ball.

£15k? We’re talking pounds?

Where from?

Unlike some of the others who will make themselves known, I have now issue with how folks spend their own hard earned nor do I get rattled by people who “overpay” for stuff that is ludicrously overpriced even at retail.

However, your mate paid a £3k premium for a watch with stickers, which is an interesting choice assuming he plans to wear it.

Buy all of them and corner the market. That's what Randolph and Mortimer would do.

Why? The new one is better looking with a much better movement. It's also possible to change to an oyster bracelet if you want to.

Is the newer movement really that much better? I thought it just had an increased power reserve? My current BLNR keeps excellent time...

And we continue to complain about prices?
This irrational thinking is what makes gray market go crazy.
You love the watch? Then buy it at a reasonable price. Doing it just because prices are expected to go up is not really my cup of tea.

There’s a thread on here re: an interview with a watchmaker who argues that whilst the 3135 and 3235 (not GMT movements but the principle stands) are both excellent movements, it could be argued that the newer one might not be as good in the long run from a servicing perspective.

The older movements as you say keep astonishingly good time for an automatic, are bulletproof and beloved of watchmakers come servicing time. No doubt the newer movements have advantages - the biggest bring power reserve, but also greater anti-magnetism - but to say they’re “much better” is a sentiment based on marketing hype as much as anything else.

I know a grey who sits on 23 Batmans. Slowly releasing into the market again with a competitive price matching the current increase.
