What do Caddyshack, Footloose and Top Gun have in common....

Kenny Loggins. The king of 80s movie soundtracks?

Co-worker became buddies with his guitar tech. They text quite often now, and co-worker lights up when tech sends him pictures from shows...which, I think, is coming to an end pretty soon?

I saw him in concert last year. What a performance, he can still bring it.

I just watched Top Gun Maverick on Netflix the other night and when that song comes in it still holds up and brings back all the memories... love it.

Funny, when I saw the title, I thought, "Good music!"

Great 80’s movies and great music. Just thinking about them brings me right back to my youth. Thanks

When I saw the title, I was thinking, “Kenny Loggins.”

But I do like two of those movies a lot despite me not being the biggest fan of Mr. Loggins.

Just went and dug my CASSETTE of Kenny's Album "Nightwatch" out.
I actually bought the Vinyl, then recorded to Cassette for convenience - sometime in the late '70s or early '80's.
Tracks: Nightwatch, Easy Driver, Down & Dirty, Down in the Boondocks, Whenever I Call You Friend, Wait a Little While, What a Fool Believes, Somebody knows, Angelique.

I really don’t know much about his music beyond these tracks. They were catchy

Danny's Song
Your Mama Don't Dance
Whenever I call You Friend
What a Fool Believes

not a bad little group of songs to add to his movie-fueled hit list.
