Omega 2020 Ed White 321 at a grey for 20% off?

swissluxury has a the ed white 2020 for 20% off?!

If they can only make 1000 per year of the movement how is the demand so low?

Try getting one. That would be interesting to see what happens.

I wouldn’t buy from a grey - I am trying to gauge market prices

Moonphase chronograph was the only option I did not click for obvious reasons and it's there. Nice find and thanks for sharing.

Call them up and see if they have the watch.

Cool

If you put it on your "followed watches" on Chrono24 it is suggesting a "market price" for new of $15,078 Estimated worth $12,457 − $17,699.

There is an asking price in sweden of $18,651 .

I just thought it was going to all be much higher - but maybe i'm misunderstanding

They don’t have one. The response I got was deliveries next year.

Definitely very low volume so far. I have not seen any of our grey dealers list one yet. To me that’s saying something...

It’s an awesome watch and one day I’d like to have one, but I don’t understand the price. Even with that beautiful movement, seems like it ought to cost about half MSRP.

To clarify: it seems like MSRP ought to be about half of what it is, so 7k instead of 14k.

Tim Mosso from Watchbox spoke of the new Ed White in one of his YouTube videos. I commented something about the price being too high. He replied that he believes it will be sub $10k within a year or so. We'll see.

I think it depends on how it's rolled out. If it's a boutique only with only like 500 pieces a year then it'll maintain value a lot better. If Omega starts flooding the market then it will tank the value.

The place in Sweden doesn’t have the watch. I asked them.

There was an interview with one of the senior bods at omega on you tube. They have a maximum capacity of approx 2000 321’s a year with the movements split roughly 50:50 between the platinum and steel.

So I don’t think the market will be flooded but it will be interesting to see what demand is like. It’s a beautiful watch no doubt. Just quite a high price comparatively.

I saw that video. I’m thinking just because they can make that many doesn’t mean they will. Rolex can easily ramp up production of SS sports models but choose not to. I’m thinking Omega is making this their halo product and will do whatever they can to keep total supply at total demand -1.

Yes, you may be right. Certainly it seems to be very low production and delivery right now. I love it, but there’s part of me that thinks I should just buy a FOIS, get an aftermarket flat link and change the hands to the batons and be done with it!

It’s a special piece, but aimed at a niche market. Many won’t know about the 321 movement and just see it as a speedy priced extremely high. That may well back up your assertion about lowering the volume. I doubt they’ll want a halo piece sitting gathering dust in AD windows.

This watch is still in production. I think the market for it is not as large as you might think. Give it a year or 2 and you’ll be able to find it at a modest discount from an AD.

I disagree but time will tell. This is Omega's halo product so I'm guessing they'll do whatever they can to support the price which includes slowing production to ensure there's always a waitlist.
