Now look what you have made me do.

Because of a stimulation of interest from some of the fine threads here, I have ordered 2 new fountain pens, they wont arrive for a couple of weeks, but I will give a couple of clues now and further appetizers in the future.

One is made in America and one is made in England.

Any guesses?

Ahh, the old lay off the blame on others trick..I have used that one many times

Hmm, One from the US and one from the UK. could the US one be an Edison? or maybe a Bexley or if your feeling really flush a David Oscarsen

As to the British one, well it has to be a Conway Stewart..Do Parker still make pens in the uk, if so maybe that!

I think you should give us a little teaser picture to help!
Well Done Dave, can't wait to hear your thoughts on them!

That's exciting, Dave! Can't wait to see what you have incoming. And speaking of "waiting" (again, sorry!) how on earth can you manage a couple of weeks?!?!

Well, I think there is currently only 1 US manufacturer left - Bexley (i.e. that produces the pens in US entirely and not "assembled" in US with imported parts).

UK one is Conway Stewart?

Yep, Im using the "Its not my fault, they made me do it" excuse and Im sticking with it.

Another couple of clues:

Bexley is nearly correct, but Im an Englishman so I like my tea, normally its Yorkshire tea, but in this case, green tea will do nicely.

As for the English pen, its not a Conway Stewart or Parker, but the company that makes this one is over a 100 years old.

Thanks for that Kai, I was not sure, so it might be classic still then, I think that is something to do with John, if not owned by him then he sells them..I think...My little grey cells seem to be in atrophy today..Maybe it is my pen club meeting tonight and the strong possibility of me picking up a broad nibbed 51!

Oh, that's charming that is
I still reckon that your Omas reviews have been the root of many a folks bank balances going down Richard

You even made me go out and buy another pen today! Got the 51, lovely medium/broad, in fact I think comparing it to my Nakaya double broad it would be fair to say Broad nib 51!

I had no idea what it was going to look like or which year but it turned out to be a lovely MK3 with Gold filled cap. Will do a review tomorrow!

Now Richard, what is your next pen
