Incoming!!! Seiko SRPE35K1 "King Samurai"

Well, I did it again! Seiko is such an amazing, respected brand. This piece looks incredible, is durable, and has longevity. I'm thrilled that it has a sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, and such a lovely dial. This piece is suitable for any setting and activity, so I had to have it as part of my collection. Each watch in the collection tells a story / represents a part of my life and they'll all be enjoyed for as long as I'm here and passed on. Can't wait for this one to arrive!

I very much enjoy mine. I also have a Blue Lagoon Samurai, the bezel and crystal on the King are an excellent upgrade.

Glad to hear you're enjoying yours! I figured as much, these things are truly amazing.

The Aluminum bezels are great, but I too feel like it's a fantastic upgrade. Browsing other listings for fun just to see different images and WOW!

Adam, you should do it! I stumbled on some of those while browsing and I'm blown away.

Regardless to if you get it on the strap or bracelet, you won't be disappointed I bet.

Thanks, Kat! I'll be sure to post once it arrives. The anticipation while in transit makes it that much better once it lands.

Such a stunning piece! The contrast between the dial and bezel is superb. I'm convinced there's nothing else in the watch world that can offer the aesthetics, functionality, and quality of Seiko and this piece in particular.

The dial pattern also reminds me of the tiles around pool decks / pools at many aquatics facilities.

Thanks, William! It truly is and I'm somehow even more excited this morning, counting down the minutes / hours unt the seller opens for business and gets it in transit.

Very nice, Rommel. I had purchased several from Maple Jewelers not far from you.

Thanks, Janet! It's in transit now as it shipped today. Hoping it gets here as quickly as possible. Excited to size my bracelet and get the perfect fit so the fun can really begin.

Thanks, Michelle! I've never been there but will have to check it out some day. Late last year I did visit Graziella Fine Jewellry to browse and saw some pretty cool Seiko's there too.

That's significant for me because over the years I haven't been to many AD's that carried the brand or had desirable pieces on display.

I can see why so many are into collecting Seiko, such a fascinating brand.

Nice! Man, big samurai fan but never figured I could wear one with a smaller wrist. Maybe I should give it another look…

Wow, stunning! That's such a nice dial, Richard. I bet the watch is incredibly comfortable. That looks very similar to the strap for the Monster, I'm guessing the lug width is the same.

Thanks! I think you should give it a try! I'm not sure what size what watch you're used to, but after a few days / weeks of wear to get used to it. Maybe the right strap could assist with this. Either way it seems well worth the consideration if nothing more.

The lug width is 22mm for the Samurai. It’s a Monster style strap that takes the original strap’s 22mm hardware.

I think the King Samurai is the best value for a diver under $1k.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I've got the same strap for my Monster, but ended up getting the bracelet as it seems to be my preference.

100% agree that it's the best buy for a diver under $1,000.00 USD. I'm still blown away by the fact it has a sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel insert. I'm a huge of these materials in the watch industry as they provide more longevity. Not to say some faded aluminum inserts don't look fantastic, but some I've come across sort of detract from the overal look. Haven't seen any Seiko's I could say this about, but was thrilled by the use of ceramic, nonetheless.

The lume must be intense! Of all my watches, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say the Monster's lume dominates. This one will be no different, I'm sure!

Any lume shots of this same piece?

And it arrived today! I'm absolutely blown away by this piece, couldn't be happier. Now it's all sized and ready to be worn.
