I inherited a certain omega from my grandfather and I have no clue if it's a valuable timepiece or not.. Then i found out that Omega came out with the same exact watch as I have in their museum piece collection REFERENCE 5704.60.02. The only difference is that the original one is yellow gold, if anyone has a clue on how much the ORIGINAL one costs or just a clue of its value please let me know!! I just figured that if omega came out with the same one for its museum collection then it must be kinda precious right??

Is there any way that you can post some pics of the watch? Anyway, once our resident Omega expert mamas sees your question, I'm sure he'll have the answer for you. He's very knowlwdgeable and a great person too

i do not have the watch right now, but i will soon.. anyway I attached the link above since thats the one omega came out with which is the same exact watch just newer and the one i have is yellow gold.. I have asked so much people about this and they do not know much about it so i hope someone can help me in this forum

Hi Jowie, welcome to the forum

I suspect that the watch you own is incredibly rare

especially if it is in good condition. Omega produced its first automatic movements in 1943, the 28.10RA PC and 30.10 RA PC which were 28 and 30mm respectively. In 1948 to celebrate omegas 100th anniversary they released high grade chronometer versions of these mechnaisms and put them in the watch you own..in solid 18k gold cases. They made them in 2 sizes, a 33mm and 35 mm size.
These are incredibly rare pieces and easily worth around $2000+ .. IF you can find one...i have only ever seen one for sale at around $3500 and most collectors would give their right arm for one. I would definately keep hold of it as i dont think you'll find another and if you can, would be great to see some photos
