More desirable?

Gloss service Dial and Hands or professionally relumed Original Matte Dial(Just lume plots and hands,Everything else Original)?

For me personally I'd rather have the untouched gloss dial.

Neither.

If you have to choose I’d say the one that is correct for the watch. But really; why choose issues on a reference where you can easily find an example without.

Don’t mind service dials, but then not original for the purists

If it's a watch that you plan to wear and enjoy daily, I don't see a relumed dial being an issue as long as the purchase price is adjusted accordingly.

Desirability of a gloss service dial depends entirely on the model. What model are we talking about here? Is the service dial tritium or Luminova?

Lets just say 5513 Meters First Original Matte Dial relumed or a later Luminova WG surrounds Glossy Service Dial. I would pick the relume every time as long as it’s well done(LAWW,Michael Young, etc).A vintage matte sub with a glossy service loses all of its vintage charm to me.And obviously You’d chose one with a perfect original Dial....That’s not the question.

Given that, I'd go relumed matte if it's a daily wearer. It's better to enjoy a watch anyway. I can't get in a knot over a good relume job if it means another 50 years of wrist time.

Gloss service Dial and Hands

"professionally" is very subjective
