It would annoy me. It's an expensive watch. You can be picky.

I still feel that if any Rolex owner took a 10X loupe to any Rolex that they would inevitably find something which was not perfect. As the saying goes; If your on a witch hunt, you will find a witch... They way I look at it is that as long as the functions operate they way they should then I can live with the little imperfections as I have added many of my own through the years and know that I will add many more! What you do depends on your lifestyle and how long you intend to own your Rolex. |

Swap or fix. Not acceptable IMHO. Your Rolex should be "eye clean" lol

What if you wanted to sell this piece down the road and disclosed this visible flaw in the ad? Do you think anyone would buy it? At market?
So, did you return it yet?

Good to hear they're taking care of it for you. It's still a great watch. Good choice!

So I got my Rolex back today (took them about 2 weeks). According to them, it was some dirt got stuck onto the lume. They replaced the dial and left some scratches on the bracelet *****which doesn't bug me.
Rolex gave me a pen for the inconvenience. The AD told me that the pen is a valuable item since they don't sell them. I think it's very nice, and too bad they don't get into the pen business Now I can truly enjoy my 1st Rolex |

A little disappointing to hear about the scratches, but I'm glad you're happy.
Now enjoy your new watch and have fun writing! |

Nice. The pen is hot. They're pricey.

I'd think of it like it was my new bride - - -
would I tell her something along those lines (?) but then I don't sleep with my rolex ..... yet! If it really bothers you that much though then ask for an annulment, and matters will probably work out just fine. |

Sweet. Glad they resolved it for you. I assume the bracelet scratches are more like swirls. That's a cool looking pen, definitely a good trade off for some swirls.
It's a shame though, they should not have scratched(swirled) the bracelet. Very nice pictures too, thanx for posting. Congrats on the beautiful watch and pen. |

Can barely see it, and that's at crazy magnification to see a microscopic air bubble? Have you guys ever looked at vintage Rolex lume? I think some of you guys would've had every single Rolex sports watch made before the late 80's tossed in the reject bin.
That said, glad you're happy in the end.

Just looked at my new YM....no bubbles in the lume. In fact, I can't find any defects anywhere (but I admit, this was with the naked eye of a 67 year old man). I would take it back and simply and courteously express the fact that you had tried to ignore the defect, but with no success...it still bothers you, and because of this, you're not 100% pleased with the purchase. Then you have to decide what would make you delighted with your purchase. Personally, if they offer to repair it, that would work for me. However, if you ever plan to sell the watch, I don't know if this would affect the value. This is a tough situation (duh). Good luck with the outcome.

Yeah, maybe it is annoying but look at the big picture (if there is one to look at). In my case, the rehaut crown is misaligned to the 12 o'clock marker on the dial which is annoying when I think of it, but I have never come across such a precise mechanical watch in my life: -/+ 0.5 sec per day depending on what side it rests on at night.

I think it wont bother me THAT much but i guess, if it IS bothering you, you should definately get it replaced and the AD would do it for you no hassle.

Sorry but send that POS dial back to the factory. I would want it fixed. You can buy a 100 fossil that looks better than that.
