New PepC - curse or blessing?!?!

It appears the new PepC is causing as much grief as it is joy.

Personally, I am not excited about the WG version and care not a whit if it ever comes in stainless steel.

Free yourself... Join the ranks of the indifferent!

That is all.

it is what it is, either save up and buy it in WG, buy a vintage pepsi or get over it!

Very indifferent here... It matters not what they make... WG, SS, etc... Many more watches to have out there...the " Pepsi" ?? It's just a watch... Definitely could live without it...

Time to move on. The reference makes me sad, but Rolex doesn't care.

Agreed...it has seriously felt like "Groundhog Day" on TRF since Basel.

Just to make sure Rolex executives read these threads and decide to issue a Stainless steel Pepsi Gmt C.

I think there is not even a small chance the steel model will appear any time soon. If you want one I think it's time to start saving up.

Because this is the Rolex Forum, with more than 100,000 members, I guess.

You're so right… There is no Forum editorial line as far as I know.

And this points out that many members of this beloved Forum, who are not in any circumstances representative of the average Rolex clients, because they are WIS, feel they have been shunted aside.
If they may not "cry" here, where would they?

:-). Yeah, I guess. I was hoping that 3 weeks grieving time was enough. Apparently not. ;-).

It's been years we have the "can I wear my Rolex in the shower/kitchen/bus" kind of threads, so three weeks is rather short imho.

And Rolex is what we discuss.

Furthermore, I have no use for a solid 18k gold watch, even if Rolex was selling it for less than $10,000 and actually, I have no use for a GMT.

I felt that I might be willing to buy an SS Pepsi as the former Pepsi was such a great watch with an interesting history.

So, as far as I'm concerned now, the watch might well as not exist at all.

If ever I drop $30k on a watch, it definitely won't be a Rolex and I don't mean that as a slight to Rolex. It's just that in that price range, there are watches that I would truly prefer.

Because it's a shinny trinket object of desire that not all of us can afford.

Rolex gave us what we wanted, but made it out of the price range for most of us.

Exactly. If people want one they can put the watch on their grail list and start saving up. As it has been said many times - Rolex will not issue steel model with the same look any time soon.

You have better chance snatching used one up in few years at more reasonable price. YG GMT is around 20-25k today. While not a steal it's more affordable than new from AD.

The new CerP is good for Rolex fans. It helps to differentiate the gold model from the old aluminum bezel steel models. A similarity would be the regular Mercedes models vs. amg performance ones.

Lets make this an AMG thread.

Has to be better than beating this horse again.

We are heading out for lunch soon in the toy.
