I think it's the best modern Rolex made in a long time, i particularly love the 116719 black dial WG version. Short production run, and would often be mistaken for the stainless version.

I had a MKI ceramic that in some light it was magnificent, in others, or with sunglasses on, I got the pastel purple and pink. I held on to it for about 4.5yrs. Then I bought a 3186 16710 and a second bezel insert. So now I have a Coke and Pepsi option. Couldn’t get rid of my ceramic fast enough. No regrets.

I think that 99% of the color variations that people talk about with this watch are in the photography and lighting conditions not the ceramic itself. Show me a picture with multiple watches in the same lighting and same photograph that demonstrates a noticeable variation in the colors and I will believe it.

There have been many pics, posted on this forum, demonstrating three distinct variations of bezel colors.

The bezel is definitely a chameleon changing from deep blue to purple to black depending on the lighting. It's wonderful and actually tones down the watch a bit given the high polish hon the case and bracelet. If the blue were like the BLNR, i think the watch would be a lot louder.

Wonderful combo!

Don’t get rid of any of them if you can help it!

Most haters probably never seen a BLRO, they actually very little like the colours I see in pictures here, the camera is a terrible liar.

Mine is dark aqua blue and cherry red. Never seen the colour caught right in a photo yet.

Both are great watches, but after many years of wearing both the 16710 and 126710, I have to give the edge to the aluminum insert.

For me — and this is contrary to how they are hyped — but I think cerachrom works best in black. Black cerachrom is just so rich and deep. While colored bezels are/were best in anodized aluminum.
