Deep scratch :(
I woke up today and I noticed a scary looking scratch on my SS GMT IIc.
I don't remember much how and when. All I remember is that I came home late. Damn you Jack Daniel |

Sorry to hear about that, Jamie!
Where does it have the scratch? RSC can remove most scratches, to an extend, but if the scratch is VERY deep, it is very difficult to repair since that would involve too much loss of material. Can you post a pic of it, please?

The fiber pens available can render all but the worst gouges almost invisible.
The scratch is noticable because it usually goes across the natural brushed finish of the SS. The fiber pen can "re-align" the grain of the steel and push the metal around your scratch until you can no longer see it.. There are some nice sponge backed sanding blocks and 3M scotch Brite pads that can work miracles too.. |

Someone's gotta come out with a sort of metal putty to fill in those deep scratches n buff it off to a shine.

Mr Daniel is a particular good friend of mine - in fact, actually we are meeting up later on this evening - I'm sure his intentions was totally honourable. He's never been jealous of my Rolex, must have a bit of male PMT about a GMT

Fiber Pens for scratches
Please elaborate on the fiber pen you are talking about. I am not familiar with this for reparing scratches.

Ti has a unique burnished finish..
I think a fiber pen might do more damage than good... Maybe there is some experience out there ???? |
