Most of the Skyrocket models I've seen have said Rolex above Skyrocket, but occasionally the dial is not signed. This one looks to be the original dial. The cal. 59 movement is signed "Rolex Geneve" on the bottom of the movement where the dial attaches. This was a watch sold in Canada and has a locally-produced (non-Oyster) chrome-plated case (with steel case back).

There's not much you should do to have it "restored" other than service the movement. The case and dial have wear, but I wouldn't recommend doing anything to either. Those kind of restorations always seem to devalue the watch. You could probably make a nice profit trying to sell it as it, but it's probably not worth more than a few hundred $ in this condition.

Then go ahead. What do I know? But I think you are confusing prices that dealers get (or ask for) with what these actually sell for, either on eBay or between dealers or collectors.

This one does not appear to be in good condition, but honestly your pictures are not the best, perhaps it's fine. I just know I wouldn't pay $800 for it. The only thing made in Switzerland is the movement. This was one of those contract watches where the dial and case were done locally (Canada), unlike many of the Oyster cased cal. 59 watches, like the Centregraph, Raleigh, etc. I have never particularly thought to collect them, although I have a few of the others.

Adam is right, I have seen Speedkings priced at over $3K! I highly doubt they actually received that price.
These little old models just are not worth a lot. The skyrocket is a very neat and cool watch but $800 is unrealistic.
