Questions regarding my Datejust 1601

Good Day Friends,

I am proud to say I have finally been able to buy my first Rolex. Unfortunately, I am not quiet sure on how to tell really how old it is etc. All is know is that it has a Cal. 1570 and the ref number starts with a 17. Can anyone shed any light on my watch? It is a 2 toned Version. I was also looking at other ones online and I've noticed that some models have a small crease in their hand mine does not. Also I noticed some models have a small boarder in the clasp mine is just plain.

Thanks for the help guys! Ill attach a picture

Welcome to the forum!!!

Probably from 1967-68. Only way to know for sure is to open the caseback and read the date inscription that should be there. And a close up of the hands and a shot of the clasp would be helpful. My 1968 twin says hello:

My 1,6xx,xxx is from 1968. Caseback marking is more accurate in my opinion.

Hi RolexPete,

Beautiful Rolex as well! By the way would you know why my rolex has a rounded crown compared to your edged out one? Also, my hands seem to have black marking as to your white ones.

thank you for all the help!
