Very nice....I heard once on National Geographic that those wings have a very high beat/second....even higher than all our Rollies put together!!

Thanks JJ.

I recall hearing that some hummers can reach 90 or more wing-strokes per second. And some of the species that migrate can fly up to 500 miles non-stop! Hard to believe.

Thanks Ashley.

We have a nice view in several directions, although I must admit that the bird photos were taken to minimize inclusion of any of the neighboring houses!

Here are a couple shots when the view was a little less scenic - and a lot more stressful! Fortunately, no homes were lost, just a few outbuildings - thanks to the efforts of our awesome firefighters!
