Hello everyone.

I came across this forum trying to find someone who could repair my 93150 Sub bracelet after I took a fall whilst jogging and bent the clasp! £135 later new clasp fitted. I wanted the original straightened given that I have owned the watch for 17+ years and worn it in some 'rather hot' places around the world. But couldn't be done. Lucky for me I found an authorised dealer who offered and honest appraisal - as opposed to someone who tried to charge me £490 for repair and service.

Rolex wearer for the last 22 years UK based. Started with a Bi-metal datejust on jubilee bracelet. Upgraded to the 16610 Submariner in 1990 - No intention ever of parting with it. The ageing process - scratches, slight turning to ivory of the baton dots all add to the speciality.

Also own a Day Date in yellow gold on presidential bracelet. Tapestry dial, Rapid change and concealed clasp. 15 years old but in 'brand new' condition only worn a handful of times. A thing of such beauty - its a shame to part with it!

Bought my wife a ladies diamond dot black dial bi metal datejust in 1990 - she still wears it every day!

Why we keep all the boxes/receipts etc I have no idea.

All the best

Welcome great to have another seasoned Rolex owner in our midst.
I agree, I may hardly ever look at the documents that accompanied my Rolex, but it is documentation that will add to it's resale value and authenticity of the watch if it ever comes to having to sell it. Sounds like your wife gets pretty good use of her Rolex too.

Hi Zingari, welcome aboard!

With the Sub and DD, you pretty much have all the bases covered from sports to elegant dress watch.

Welcome to TRF, Zingari. Glad you found our friendly forum. Stick around and join the fun here.

Do post some pics of those beauties. My YG DD is 20+ years old and I wear it more than occasionally. Still keeps great time.

Welcome to TRF That's a great little collection you have there. I'm like you, I always maintain the box and papers too. It really does help with the resale/trade aspect
