292 Q's
Must confess to having never been a great fan of Radiomirs (sorry!) but the 292 has grown on me a lot of late.
Can you tell me if the new 292's definitely come without the 'pig' on the dial? I was sure the 'pig' dial was no more (2008 brochure seems to confirm this) yet the Panerai website still shows pictures of the 292 with the 'pig' dial. If the 'pig' dial is no more, do people reckon it will return in the future on this model or do you think its gone for good? |

Half of the first years release had the pig. The second half and future releases will not have the pig.

The 292 has become one of those panerai's that is more about premiums, rarity and status than the actual watch itself, for me the 'pig' ruins the clean dial that Panerai are famous for, but since they're rarer they're the must have and most wanted

It is my understanding that the first run 1000 will have the pig. Who knows how many have been produced I was to 20 a month.

Well, it was not a LE but only the first years they deliverd that watch with the pig.
the first 1000 have this dial, the others that will follow won't have this dial. So yes, for some collectors this is an important difference. It's like the Rolex sub 1680 with white or red letters. Only a little difference for a non wis, but a major difference for the collector. Personally I wouldn't care if it had or had not that pig, also without it is a gorgeous watch ! My AD offered me one WITH pig, but I would also buy it without the pig

Thanks for the info folks, also have to add that 'unknown's shots of his 292 are excellent!
What are the waiting lists like at the AD's for these? Lengthy or not too bad? (guessing its going to be the former an not the latter). Also can someone confirm the 2009 price for one of these in GBP - is it £4.3k? |

Just found the 2009 UK pricelists on here in another thread - 4.6k it seems for the old 292!

Almost every 292 that has come into UK ADs has gone onto the grey market, i have yet to see any UK people wearing them or showing them off, only seeing them on grey dealer sites or ebay

Still some 292's appearing with pigs i've noticed - do we know if these pig dial 292's are the ones that people ordered in 2007 and the non pigs have been ordered in 2008 or so - or is it all just a bit random as to who is getting what at the moment? |

No one able to help with my question above about 'pigs' and the date the watch was ordered?
