The Sky dweller is ALL that

Some thoughts after a couple weeks of daily wear:

1) Had my choice of colors...The white/off white/silver dial was a no brainer to me in person. Stunning...easier to read. Blue was just too, blue....And the black was great, but I don't want any more black dial watches....I have enough to fill up three weeks of changes. I had to kind of laugh when you see the white dial selling at the lower end of the three colors. Kind of makes me think that people are buying based on pictures. Not on in hand experience. Don't get me wrong, they are all gorgeous, but white takes the cake, even if we are just talking about legibility.

2) The statement watch. I have a lot of watches. Some make more statement than others. My AP's get looks all the time. My YMII. Full gold blue sub. This one however, takes the cake. Its an absolute beacon. It is not a quiet and reserved watch in ANY way.

3) Comfort. I don't know my wrist size, but on subs and what not, I am a full link guy, middle of the glide lock. This watch is VERY comfortable. You forget you're wearing it, which is my litmus test.

4) Value. Are you kidding? This complication, highly useful at this price point? Again. No brainer.

Honestly. The Skydweller is all that with a bow on top.

nice watch.

only thing you could ask for is full pm but we know what that costs. value wise id go with another gold watch before as you did.

Yeah, to me, this was neither a value or comfortable in full PM. My DD40 in WG is majestical. Full gold sub, very special.

I wouldn't want this, or the Yachmaster II in full gold. Changes the comfort dynamics too much.

That is perfect. Blue is nice in sunshine, but white dial is more practical allround.

I agree with you on the legibility comment. I tried all three and the white was the easiest to read. Congrats again, enjoy it

Very nice...I am liking the white more and more.

I agree with your thoughts on PM value/comfort...I had one and it was an absolute beast. Curious, we have had members report that the steel bracelet is wider than the PM version and this wears more comfortably...what are your thoughts on this?

Congrats!

Congrats. I have mine in 1 week now and agree with all your points, also to stop on your statement (money for complication), for the brand and given complications, it is a $20.000 worth time piece

That is correct. Like the SD43, the bracelet has been widened, and flattened.

Congratulation on the White Sky D!!! I picked up an Omega Mark II Auto on Friday a week past. I brought it into my Jeweler to have it sized. I was wearing my Sky D. It wasn't ready when promised due to some miscommunication in the shop. So I picked it up a day later on my way to work out. At any rate I've been wearing the Omega for a week. Today I went to put on the Sky D and couldn't find it. It wasn't where I normally store it; I knew it had something to do with the sizing and taking it off my wrist when I picked up the MKII. Checked all my coats and still couldn't find it. I remembered taking it off my wrist and sticking it in my summer boat wallet in the truck when I went to work out after picking up the MKII. I was heart broken. How could I lose my favorite watch. I figured I brought it in when I got home. Finally I decided to check the wallet and there it was!!! What a relief. It's an amazing watch and well deserving of the second spot on the Rolex homepage. Maybe of the first spot. It's comfortable, attractive, and practical. As said it's a bargain at msrp. What I can't imagine is ever parting with it.!!!

Great looking watch and it looks perfect for your wrist size.
I agree with you on color - if I was to get one, it would be the white/off-white for sure.
Enjoy!!!

Love love love he white dial SkyD. I too had the choice between black and white and decided on a white. I’m not sure what I would’ve done had I had the opportunity for a blue dial...

I have some weird hangup about blue dial Rolex..

The smurf I find to look fake. Every fake Rolex sold in the 80's in NYC was a stainless with a blue dial, which didn't exist.

I owned a Cameron, and the blue made it look too "Un-tool" like. Went back to the standard.

I do own this blue little diddy. This Rolex blue, i'm down with.

Do you find yourself particularly in love with this watch? Beyond the usual early ownership affair.

I am liking the sky dweller far more than I thought I would.
