You scored! Congratulations, Brian

I don't know if I would spend more time wearing it or gazing thru the caseback.

Congrats Brian!

This may be a dumb question, but I’ve been out of the loop. Are these boutique only, or can they also be purchased at AD’s?

Thanks you It actually wears about like a 40mm Rolex to my eye. The dial appears larger as well.

Thanks Mike

Yes they are only available through boutiques. Apparently they only make between 1000-2000 of the movements per year, and those are spread out between the platinum, gold and stainless models.

Thanks, Brian! I was looking at my local AD’s fb page and they posted a photo of the Ed White with a caption along the lines of “had to snap a quick photo before sending this off to its new home”, so I may try giving them a call to see what the deal is haha. Maybe they are a boutique now…idk how it works. They may be my only shot at the Ed White, and even then it’s likely a stretch. Congrats again, such an incredible piece!

Definitely worth the ask, you never know. I hope you land one soon, it’s a really fantastic piece.

High praise indeed Joe I think you may have also posted this in another thread because I remember reading about someone who did this.

The 321 has certainly won me over

A big shout out to the fine folks in Vancouver at our only Omega boutique in the whole country (unbelievable I know).

I put a call into them around November expressing interest in the 321, and I was told outright it'd be a minimum two year wait.

Fast forward to last Friday June 3rd (a significant date for a couple of reasons which I will get to) , I was told my time had come. At first I thought they made a mistake After picking myself up off the floor, I was told the 321 was mine if I was still interested. Heck YA,!

Now its fitting that the call came on the third as many of you know by now, 3 is my lucky number! Also, June 3rd just happens to be the day when Ed White took the first space walk by an American wearing none other than ... the 321! How cool is that?

To top it off the watch arrived here on a Speedy Tuesday. I guess it was meant to be.

My photo skills are super poor, and many of you owners have already done a far better job of pictures and history, and details than I ever could....

With that said, I always wanted a really good chronograph, but the Daytona just never sang to me. When this was launched I immediately thought... that's a good chronograph. Vintage inspired, history and pedigree unlike any other.

To me, it feels special, like wearing art on the wrist and nothing like any other reference I own.

As a friend of mine who printed the shirt that I’m wearing says ... "everyone needs One Good Thing".

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my incoming. For me this is a very big deal and perhaps the last watch I buy in quite some time. I think it competes the collection (for now).

@brandrea, congrats!

how long was the wait?
did you need a purchase history?
did you build a "relationship" with the store/AD?

Yesterday I've tried the new '57, racing and professional calibre 3861 but looking at reviews/pictures, I'm more interested in the calibre 321.

Thank you

I registered my interest using the boutiques on line inquiry form in November 2021. I didn’t think much would happen, but a few days later I received a call.

The SA and I really hit it off over the phone and we talked watches for about 15-20 minutes I’d say. He told me at that point it’d mostly likely be 2+ years and I was completely fine with that….

No contact whatsoever until he called me on June 3rd (the same date that Ed White took his famous walk) and sold me the watch over the phone.

No prior history with the store as I live near Toronto and the only boutique in our entire country is located in Vancouver (4200 km away).

I’m over the moon with this reference. The movement is mesmerizing to stare at through the the loupe that comes with it.

Edit: no deposit was required either.

If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, the Omega Boutique is a MUST visit. They recently completely their renovations and the results are just spectacular.

I try to get in every couple of months just to watch-chat with the staff.

They make you feel right at home.

I certainly will I’m hoping to get out to Van in October for a conference and I already mentioned to the SA that I’d love to see him.

I’ll actually be staying at the Fairmont

+1.

I have recently learned that it is the ONLY Omega boutique in Canada. I thought Toronto/Montreal would have one as well.

I guess they know where the "buyers" are

Pretty much as it should go. Omega is really knocking it out of the park with their latest Speedmaster offerings (3861 owner here), of which the 321 is kind of the hill in my opinion.

Right? I can’t believe there isn’t an Omega boutique in the Toronto area … I guess it’s true, the world doesn’t revolve around Toronto

Agree

The recent Omega Speedmasters really show their ability to produce some of the most technically advanced chronographs (as seen in the 3861) and faithful reproductions of one of the best all time chronographs in the 321

I was also surprised to learn that Vancouver was home to the only Omega boutique in Canada.

But then when I learned that the Omega brand is especially popular in Asia, it all kind of makes sense.

I believe Omega is big in Japan.

I think Omega boutique is after what everyone else in Canada is after.

The Chinese Money in Cash.

I call it how I see it. Can't blame them, they are a business.

With apologies to OP, don't mean to derail his thread. So I will stop here. Congratulations to you once again. The 321 is my favourite piece in Omega catalogue.

Huge congrats Brandrea!! What an amazing piece to add to your collection.

A part of me was hoping you got it from a AD in Toronto......and that we were actually getting 321s now and maybe even some Snoopy's. I've had my deposit for a Snoopy with a Toronto AD and not even 1 call or email with a update.

Anyways wear the Ed White in good health!

Thank you very much, I’m super happy with this reference. It’s more than I had hoped for honestly

I didn’t realize you could order a Snoopy from an AD, I guess I figured it was also boutique only.

When the 321 was launched I contacted the AD at Yorkdale and they said they could order it with a 50% deposit. They could not however give me a delivery date and this gave me pause. The more I researched it, the more uneasy I became. Not saying they were being dishonest, but I don’t think the ADs really knew at that point.

It was confirmed to me that the 321 is a boutique only piece.

I hope you land the Snoopy soon
