Thanks very much - it's taken me a long time to find the right one in the right condition at the right price.

2 grails down, birth year 1603 and the GS, now just 2 to go. Got them both in the space of 3 months too

Second only to my Rolex in the rotation. This was my daily watch until I bought the Rolex. I have beat the hell out of this watch and it keeps coming back for more.

Wow...that's amazing! I have a number of vintage automatic Seiko divers, but never seen this one. What model # is this? I assume it's around 40mm...yes? I might need to hunt it down...I'm thinking of unloading some of my vintage Seiko diver's and just keeping one or two.

I've got a number of 60's & 70's divers...but I never wear them anymore for fear of damaging them and so they just sit in their cases. I'm done w/ "trailer queen" watches...if I own them, I've got to wear them. Your watch looks like a blast...I love the clean look and the meaty teeth of the bezel!

Been wearing a seiko turtle. Ran really badly when I first got it so I took it in to seiko to get it regulated, and now it runs much more consistently.

These are tool watches, beautiful, reliable, inexpensive, they have in-house movements, history. But they have almost no economic status symbol maybe because of Seiko marketing.

Check out the history of the Marine Master 1000m:

My Marine Master 1000 gold Tuna, sat in the watch case for 2 years until I rescue it with deep discount.
