Budding chefs with an Induction Range... what cookware do you use?
So we have new induction range being delivered in a week or so and have realized that much of our cookware isn't going to work with it. So we've been looking at All Clad D5, Staub, La Crusette, etc. Any one have any awesome suggestions? Also, and this o e is kind of silly.....since induction works via a magnetic field, has anyone noticed anything squirrelly with their watches when using these ranges? Thanks in advance folks...

Some great cooks on this forum and I'm hoping one of them will be able to point you in the right direction shortly. Once you're up and running be sure to post some pictures of what you prepare

Now hold the phone. We actually already have that but haven't read anywhere that it's induction ready...and seems to be pretty weak with the magnet test...hmm...may need to revisit those....anyone else? Nobody on here cooks the food they post pics of? |

I cook with fire. I'm curious what the answer to your question will be.

I use smeg, and it's a ceramic cooktop. I have thought of upgrading to induction as I heard these transfer heat better and is accident proof. Let us know how is your user experience after using.

All Clad is great stuff. You can use it in the oven too.
I recently left a stew on overnight and burned the pot. Soaked overnight and it cleaned up to like new. PRICELESS! The interior surface always cleans up easily. Not cheap, but the best way to buy it is by the set. Metro -Kitchen has the best prices. Wait till they a special sale which is all the time. Get on their email list.

Used All-Clad for many years. They replaced (free) two pieces over the many years (sent brand new ones to replaced warped ones).
Personally, i prefer cooking with gas stovetop. Have two gas ovens with one being normal and the other being convection. JMHO PS: Don't forget to buy a double boiler setup :) PPS: Cast iron also has good uses. Get a few of those too.
