+/-2 secs a day is what they are calibrated to which would be +/- 70 seconds over 10 weeks so anything better is a bonus.

2 seconds a day is within Rolex spec so you're fine. I've also heard that a new watch can take some time to settle in to your wear patterns. My Sub-C was running +1 sec/week when I first got it, now it has slowed down a bit and after a month it is now at -8 seconds, so -2 sec/week on average.
If it starts losing more time than -2/+2 a day, you can consider taking it to Rolex and having them regulate it. I think this will be covered under warranty. |

For most the of the past 7 weeks my SubC has gained 1.5 secs/day, consistently. Now over the past couple of days it's gaining about 2.5 secs/day.
The difference? I've laid it flat at bedtime for 2 days, face up. Usually it's vertical, crown down. So I'm going back to vertical to see if that makes it go back to +1.5 secs/day. |

After a few months the movement will likely wear in and run spot on. I've had two watches, a sub and a pan 312, behave like that.

Haha I've decided that after 10 days of testing and having it lose 2 seconds per day on average that i wasn't going to let this ruin my enjoyment of the art :)

The owner of my AD and avid watch collector (he has a Paul Newman amoung others) was unhappy that my ExpII was 5s slow over 6 days when I left it on the ADs watch winder as I thought I had an issue with it.
I had to chuckle & said that isn't it within tolerance and he expressed his unhappiness again. Saying it ok to be a little fast but not slow.
