It's a turtle I think.

What's the little numbers printed on dial near 4 & 6?

Yours looks like it's in pretty decent nick, can't have gotten too much wear in 45yrs.

Serial number & 6139-xxxx should be on the rim of caseback, why can't you read it?
First digit of serial should be the units of the build year eg "2xxxxxx" = 1972.

Back then I think they were all made in Japan, they didn't move production offshore to other countries around SEAsia until late 80s I believe.

Serial starts with a 5
I see the model. number now under better light .
I remember in the 90s wearing it to school sometimes the inner bezel used to be yellow seems to have faded to white

That's a pogue and looks to be in great condition. Look up Spencer Klein on YouTube.

These 6139s are incredible watches. I have a gold (1971) and blue (1969). Pretty sure neither have ever been cracked open and serviced, and they both run great. Even though the 6139 was the first fully integrated chronograph to the market in 1969, I covered my bases and picked up a Zenith El Primero 1969 reissue (“the first”) this week.

Great watch. My brother had a very similar one in the late 70’s.
I asked him about it around a year or so ago and he couldn’t remember what happened to it. He bought a nicer watch around 85/86. It’s probably snuggled in a box in my parents NYC house with 32 years of dust on it.
