It’s not too hard to do. Reduce a bottle of cab with a few rosemary twigs and a few cloves of garlic. Cooked it down to about a 1/4 cup and strained it and slowed it to cool. Mixed in to about a 1 1/2 lbs of course salt and then cold smoking it with Apple wood for about 4 hours - stirring every 30 min.
Looks Good! Can't wait to see and hear about how it is on the steaks!

Last night...

Mind sharing your saag recipe? Looks great, and I can’t quite replicate what I get in restaurants.

Sure - it’s from Aarti at the Food Network. My wife cooks the paneer a little longer than the recipe calls for so it dries out a little more and gets a crispy crust.

Tried it tonight. Can’t taste the Cabernet and get a little smoke, but like most finishing salts, it’s mainly the salt comes through. I think it will be better on things with milder flavors.

That looks fantastic. I’ve only tried cooking grits a few times, but both they weren’t stellar. Best I’ve had was at this restaurant aunt something or other in Daytona. These looks just like those!

Thanks. They were tasty. They can get gummy if they cook too long but these were smooth.
