1990? Rolex TT GMT rootbeer authentic?

Help everyone, it’s been a long while since I’ve been on these forums. I came across a local jeweler by where I work and he’s possibly thinking of selling one of his personal watches, a TT GMT rootbeer with jubilee bracelet.

My question is, he said he has the original box and papers and accessories at home and said this watch is from 1990. I noticed the dial says “Swiss made” but other early 90’s watches I’ve seen has the “Swiss - T < 25” signifying tritium from my understanding. Is this dial original to this watch?

Any help is appreciated as I’m interested in making him an offer next time I see him.

Thank you everyone

These are a few pics I took when I was with him earlier

Stunning. Get that bought right away!

A 1990 watch would originally have a 'SWISS T<25' dial with tritium markers. That has a newer SWISS MADE dial with luminova markers. No deal breaker there whatsoever.

Also, does the case look like it’s been polished before? I’m a complete noob at looking at that kind of stuff. Not sure if the lugs look good or if they’ve been polished down from factory specs etc

Hi Sergio. Looks like a service dial and probably hands, too. Fine with me, but try and get a bit of $ knocked off as it does detract a little from the value.

Thank you guys for your feedback. I appreciate everyone’s response.

Let’s see if he’s willing to actually sell it and hopefully I get it for a good price.

If I do end up getting it, I’ll be posting an incoming thread lol

Have a great weekend everyone
