how on earth can you tell from such a small pic , or is it the sellers low number of sales

Pictures are indeed small : but when blown up a little you will see that the magnifying is off and the bezel font is a joke . The end links are clearly wrong too.
TTG does not call a watch "kaka" only because the seller has low feedback .

Also the dial appears to be gilt, there was no gilt sub with a date. The first sub date was the 1680 whose dial was white.

For me bad photos are a clue anyone selling a watch worth thousands takes the time to take some quality photos.
