I know a collector who purchased one just before xmas £23,000! serious money or what.

Depending upon the model... There was an early one with a sub type bezel and lightning bolt second hand and a latter with no bezel and a normal second hand, valued ranged from $40K-90K USD...

Sorry I don't have my books at work, I'd give you more info...

As I understand it the 6541 were pretty hard to get, back in the day. Not sitting in the windows with a 20% off sign on them like the Val 72 Daytonas.

It's just the production year of the case. Z serials came first...then M's.
