Exactly the same as my wife.......

In January last year (2018) we visited all 4 AD's and all 4 had this in stock.
Our 30th Wedding Anniversary was in September and didn't think I'd have an issue buying one. In May I popped into the 1st AD and they laughed at me and said if I leave my details they may have one by September.
I got nervous and went to the other 3 all with the same result.

So.... All 4 had my details, my prefered dealer rang me in July and said if I want it I better give them a deposit over the phone there and then which I did. Bought the watch and all was good for our Anniversary.

To this day, I have still not heard from the other 3 dealers.

Cheers..... Bob.

Totally agree.
Similar happened to me.
She wears up to 36 but chose new 28.

My wife chose this one- 31mm,Diamond IV,MOP Dial,Jubilee,Rose Gold. I strongly suggest you take her to the AD to let her try them on.
If she's like most women if she doesn't like one you choose she won't wear it and probably won't tell you because she doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

It's not a DateJust but in my opinion it's one of the best looking 31's. It's something different and the only rolex with this dial color.

Hi,
For my wife, this Christmas, I offered this one.
Small, only 28, but perfect for her wrist.

Besides, the 28 is the only one with the star shaped diamonds...

Total novice here so apologies in advance. I configured a Datejust on the Rolex site on January 1, 2017 and took a screenshot on my phone. I didn’t realize how many permutations there are so didn’t save enough detail. It is stainless/yellow gold, jubilee bracelet, olive face, Roman numerals with diamonds on the IV. It has a fluted bezel with 12 diamonds (so not completely encrusted). How on earth do I figure out the model number and source that watch?

My wife tried on every size imaginable and 31mm with diamond markers was the clear favorite

Best thing to do is go back to Rolex.com, re-configure that exact watch. It likely is still an available configuration. If not, you will need to do some digging for pictures. With Datejusts, reference numbers can cover a broad range of options sometimes, such as different dials with the same reference. There's usually a longer version of the reference number that Rolex knows that specifies dial. Hard to find that on the consumer end. Go to an AD too.
