Colour is great but there is something about black and steel monochromatic look

I don’t think steel and black can ever go out of style. What’s your favourite black and steel watch? Mine is probably DaytonaC or SD4K.

I prefer to mix it up in a collection, but black is a good go-to and safe choice. I prefer it on TT GMT, YG DD, or a SS sub.

Yep black always work, Karl Lagerfeld was on to something.

Definitely will not go out of style. Submariner, SD43, and Daytona are the best looking steel and black in my opinion. Great collection, I'm looking to add a Lange, and Meteorite to my collection too.

The added little red text on SD43 and Daytona really perfects the look.

Thanks. Adding a GMT meteorite to yours would make a nice trio!

Enough color in my world already. A client recently wore a golden P. Plein Mayweather suit to a court hearing, his hair dyed blond, too. Black.

Cheers

You’re so right. Reason why one of the most iconic pictures are B&W.
Our brain is buzzing with color data all the time, anything monochrome becomes A feast to our eyes.
The B&W has always been and will forever be TIMELESS.
My favorite monochromatic watch is the SD43. Love the anthracite look of it.

I agree. I preferred a black&steel 16610 over the coloured 16613, they are practically the same price used. My TT Datejust is ok, one is enough!

Plain black / steel and no color would be the 114060 for me.

Monochromatic would be silver dial with steel or the YG DD with champagne dial.

But my favourite black & steel is definitely this one:

I love my Explorer. The black dial against the Oyster bracelet is sublime.
I also love the Omega SMP 2254.50. Another black against steel beauty.

black + steel = 2 colors (not 'monochromatic') but I agree it is a classic.
