7 hours to go...this might be too late as well...over 50 bids so far...

Err...for a "Ref 6263 Daytona" which is said to be partially FAKE...being listed by the same eBay Seller - t_swiss_t of Australia...!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Rolex-Da...QQcmdZViewItem

As Orchi wasn't so sure about the watches...Orchi asked n has gotten good advises from the learned Buddies at VRF...

It is said that the watch is having FAKE Case...Caseback n FAKE movement...!!!

Currently the listing has attracted more than 50 bids...oh please report this to eBay...before another unwary bidder gets burnt from the same Seller again...

But this time...from a "NO Reserve Price auction"...there's more than USD35,000 at stake...by now!!!

The paperwork looks so good. I am torn about this. The person who writes that it is a fake; Francesco; do you know him well enough to trust his assessments?

Err buddy Terry...yes Francesco from Italy is one of the best dealers/collectors that Orchi trusts very much...

Besides...if the eBay Seller had the genuine papers to begin with...he should have NO ISSUE to post the papers clearly showing the correct n matching serial nos...on the watch n papers...!

Secondly...a genuine Ref 6263 dubbed "Paul Newman" with provenance could fetch...upto 3 times the current bid price of the watch...!

LOT 103: AntiQuorum Auction NYC...

http://72.14.235.104/search?q=cache:...ient=firefox-a

That eBay Seller does NOT have to list that watch at ZERO Reserve Price auction to begin with...if it was 100% genuine...!

Orchi:

I trust your word implicitly. There is a lot riding on this auction though so that is why I questioned about Francesco. I did report the seller and his entire auctions to E-Bay.

Great news that it's gone.... hope the seller doesn't come and vent his anger and frustration here on TRF.

Err buddy Terry...the same Seller sneaked into eBay to list the same Ref 6263 watch again...

This time...he raised his stake to much higher value...Buy Now USD42,000/--...!!!

The Seller says...Extremely rare to find complete set of this model ref.
Relist again due to ebay has mistakenly removed this listing.
Now it up for sell with buy now price! price to sell!

Please put a stop at this nonsense...!
