It’s a great colour combination. You have to remember that it was picked for function over aesthetics. Red and blue work superbly in daylight, but also show up totally differently under red light in a cockpit, becoming light and dark respectively.
I turned down the option of buying the then new ceramic bezel GMT with the black bezel, not out of any dislike of the bezel (which is still usable in one colour provided you can read it) but because Rolex had changed the red 24 hour hand to green, making it unreadable in the cockpit. Never let someone fiddle around with a classic design on grounds of “style” unless they understand the concept behind the original design! The current BLRO is lovely. I wish the colours were a little brighter, and I would prefer an oyster bracelet and slimmer crown, but I still like it. |

Back in 2018, I really wanted one. Now I find It hasn't aged well to me, bezel colours still look wrong, I don't want another black dial watch and the Jubilee bracelet is much better suited to a Datejust. Now O van safely say it's not for me. Funnily enough my wife found it ugly since day one, I didn't see it, now I can see where she's coming from.

Ugly? Here, let me help
It's almost too good. Makes me want to take a trip down to the bank...I miss it. For anyone dogging on the watch and ranting about it, I hope you get one soon, preferably for RRP. GOOD LUCK! |

It takes a real confidant guy to wear the iconic red and blue GMT. I love mine. The Pepsi is not an under the radar watch and, frankly, has never been since the first Bakelite model. The color scheme always had its detractors just like the early Daytona. But it is probably the most recognized Rolex. The Pepsi was the least popular of the GMT Master models when it ceased production in 2007. Let that sink in.
Then the hype started. Never buy the hype. Buy the watch. The GMT Pepsi is an icon. As Arnold would say, it’s not for sissies |

I really like the Pepsi but live the BLNR both on jubilee. Can’t understand the live by people for blue and red on jubilee but blue and black on jubilee is disliked by most. Makes no sense. Red is a jubilee color but black is not??

Agreed. More like they are looking for comfort for having passed on two, which they now regret. Deep down they probably like it, but are trying to convince themselves they don’t .

I love it. My 1675 was pepsi and yesterday I fitted a BLRO ceramic to my 16710N.

Now that they have the colors right, I have to say that I like it, having seen one in the wild a few months back.
Still, I prefer my 116710BLNR, personally. The steel BLRO does look good on the wrists of others and I'm very fond of the Jubilee.

It looks amazing in pictures, but it doesn’t look good on my wrist.
I wanted the new one very badly since it was released. There is something very iconic about this watch. I finally received one earlier this year and I just don’t think it looks that great on me. For this reason, I have never worn mine. It is the only watch I own that I’ve never worn. |

I always wanted the BLRO but I see way too many pictures where the colors look pink and purple. If it does in fact look the way it’s depicted on the Rolex website I would be all over it. I shifted my attention toward the BLNR, and after a 7 month wait got the text and picked it from my AD today (incoming!!)....I love it. I was skeptical about the jubilee but i absolutely love it. Looks great and very comfortable.

Thats a perfect representation of how beautiful it is. Beauty is surely a subjective thing but statistical data isn't. By a wide margin this watch has more people that like it than don't, from a statistical perspective, the watch proves it is indeed beautiful.
For those that don't like it, no problem. I find the "turned it down twice" comment to fall into the humble brag category. In fact I'm not sure there was even a point to this thread except to specifically say that. Plenty of watches I don't like, I'm sure everyone here doesn't really care to know which ones. It's a fact of life, some you'll like and some you won't. |

Love red and blue! But color choice tends to be personal

Love the watch, love the colors. However when I showed photos of it to my wife she wasn't too excited by it. Always interesting to get the opinion of a non-watch enthusiast. To her the colors didn't look like a luxury watch. My DJII is still her favorite watch by far. I sort of mildly have to agree on the GMT. Maybe that's why I have gravitated more towards the Tudor model. It goes for a straight tool watch vibe and doesn't make an effort to look too upscale or luxurious. Not hating on the BLRO, just maybe not for everyone.
