Very nice thread, and particularly useful for some of us.

Reason being that the weight is directly connected with the wearability of the watch. Very different wearing a Pt beast weighing 300grams and wearing a humble steel piece of 100+gr. Different instances/moments during the day demand, allow or create desire for a lighter or heavier piece.

116505BKSO:

I know it's a Rolex/Tudor thread but this is interesting as well, I believe (Dato 39mm, XL ALS strap):

Hey, is your 116520 fully linked? Or have any links been removed?

Icon14 Thanks for the fascinating contributions!

Delightful to see the recent contributions of vintage, precious metal, ALS, and finally a Baselworld 2016 piece.

Does anyone have a weight for a Sky Dweller with bracelet?

FWIW, I'm currently wearing my Breitling SO Steelfish X-Plus which weighed in at 203g with some links removed. Should be about 222g all in tact from what I can find on line. Sorry no scale photo.

Never mind, found the weights. No weight for a 116610 but for a 114060 about 160g.

Therefore: 213.4/160 = 236.5/X so an SS Sky D should weigh about 177.3g. We'll see.

«Weight» for it....

I've got two watch weights for you (also glad to contribute to the Tudor watch weight database ;)!

First, the Tudor Prince Oysterdate (Auto), ref. 75204 (34mm case), ca. 1986, weighing in at 78g (some light, tinny watch bracelets back then).

Now for my new (first) Rolex piece, the 116000 OP 36mm w/black and dk. gray dial, coming in at 121-122g. (My apologies for the small images; my first time posting images and I'm trying to figure out the best way to enlarge the image while reducing resolution to site standards.)

Of the few 'official' weights I had found online for this model, it was generally measured at 125g (or slightly below). I wondered, mmph, why the discrepancy? THEN I came to realize that when I purchased the piece (pre-owned, M series 2007-2008), it only came with 11.5/12 links. I later learned (after some research) that the 20mm Oyster bracelet for the OP (ref 70200) comes NEW with (at least) 13 links. Voilą! «the missing 'link', thus accounting for 2-3g.

Weighed my SS SkyD at 172 with two links removed so a pretty good guesstimate.

I just bought a scale a few months ago from Amazon for like $10-$15 just for the hell of it. Was fun to weigh various stuff around the house.
