Is the SD50 perfect?

I’m starting to think so. The tapered lugs are so much better. The full minute markers ad to symmetry. That single line of red text.

I’m really loving this one.

Close to perfect. I tried one on yesterday, but as much as I would have loved to walk out with it, it is really too big for me.
Sub C is fine but SD was larger and heavier than I imagined.

It's a little big for my wrist, but I believe it'll go down as a classic as long as Rolex doesn't go crazy putting red text on everything when they refresh the Sub and SD lines going forward.

Could you imagine that watch as a no date? Holy smokes! Now that might be perfect.

Since you asked - no. Unnecessarily too large.

Or simply omit the cyclops = closer to perfection.

It's going to be about perspective. I've got an almost 8" wrist. When I was looking for a new Rolex I thought the Sub Date was gonna be it for me. AD had both and was able to try them on. I got the SD43.

I know guys say its just an overgrown Sub Date...mostly in a derogatory sense. For me, that's why I love mine so much.

Great watch, but a bit too large and too pricey compared to a Submariner or Sub Date for me. But certainly a fantastic watch.

But seriously, it is an exceptionally nice watch, I just don't see humankind producing anything that reaches perfection.

But for my 8.5” wrist, yes, it is perfect. I had a sub c date for a year and traded it for the SD43 as my daily. In love with it.

It is close. In my personal opinion, if the bezel was oh so slightly smaller, the case back was flusher like the deep sea, and it came in at 42mm, the SD would be perfection.

I have to agree. I have the 126660 DSSD-Blue for the stainless look and will offload my TT Sub C for the TT SeaDweller when it's available. The Sub looks way too small. I have an 8 3/8 inch wrist and these are sized so much better.
