Should I keep my Omega SMP 300 Quartz
Hey guys,
I recently bought the two tone, new gen, SMP 300. (blue dial, steel on yellow gold). 42mm, blue rubber strap. I also have an old SMP 300, from the Quartz era, in mint condition. Also blue dial, 41mm and steel bracelet. A relative wants to buy it for about $3K USD. I'm wondering if I should sell the Quartz... It is the only quartz movement in my collection, and I have not even replaced the battery. Thoughts? |

Don't really need money, but I would sell to a relative (that's good).
I'm just too OCD and can't stand the fact that it has no batteries |

Obviously your choice but if you are not wearing it why not move it along. Take part of your 3k and go get a cool Seiko Quartz Tuna for a completely different look and have a great beater.

Part of their history, indeed. A lovely, unique watch and it's what got the Seamaster started as a Bond watch. In your shoes I would totally hang onto this piece. |

I have a quartz Seamaster that I wear very frequently. It's my grab and go watch if I don't feel like winding and setting.
I've never thought of selling it. |

Same here I actually opted for the Omega 2264.50 as my GADA watch it’s also called the Peter Blake omega and it’s awesome.
