My favorite reference. Sigh, hopefully someday.

Funny you mention this. Talked with Tracy at Henri Stern today and the pin buckle doesn’t work on the 5172 strap because of the lengths. Only the deployant clasp. I have the clasp but wondering about weight issues with the stainless steel and pretty light case versus the white gold clasp.

Killer combo. How does the white gold feel opposite the light stainless steel case?

Just collected today. A couple of quick observations. One, the strap is stubborn and quite hard. Two, the rotor is loud. Are you guys hearing the same?

Either case, what a beautiful time piece it is! I love everything about this and glad to be a part of the club.

Congratulations, well done and enjoy. They're unique and interesting watches in many ways.

Re 5172 strap:

Not sure what you mean by "how does it sit" but it wears the same as on the calf strap/prong buckle except for a slight difference in buckle underside weight on the wrist that I only noticed now that someone asked.

I take my watches on and off during the day and all of my regular wear watches have deployants - easier & safer and never risk dropping a watch attaching a prong.

Weights:
5212A + original calf strap + stainless prong buckle = 58 grams
5212A + 5172 strap + gold deployant = 73 grams
