Snagged mission on earth and mission to Jupiter

Yeah yeah I know its not really Omega, but after trying to snag a couple of these in the US since release I was unsuccessful.

Fast forward to today, I picked these two up in Cannes, France, while on vacation. First they had “display only” pieces, but when I broke out into French with the salesperson he quickly softened and offered me max two pieces. My wife and I picked up these two…500 euros for the pair, so 500 bucks at current exchange rates.

I have the Earth one too and my boys have a Jupiter and a Pluto. It’s been hard work over the summer getting them but they are fun.

£207. Problem in London is that the same young kids queue every morning and they sell them to them. In other countries they seem to be dealing with that a bit better, albeit it shouldn’t be that difficult!

I can agree. I have a Mars version. I love it. I’m trying hard to get a Neptune or Mercury for my best pal. No luck though. Covent Garden boutique we’re handling the situation quite well. But it’s very clear they are FULLY AWARE it’s the same kids every day picking these up. I’ve witnessed multiple conversations between flippers and employees.

Hey-ho, Swatch don’t care. They are selling them like hot cakes. A multi billion pound company don’t really mind that the genuine fans aren’t getting a look in. A sale is a sale in their eyes.

Congratulations! They’re fun watches. I snagged two at the Swatch boutique on a recent trip to NYC.

Cool. Looks great. I think I like the Earth color scheme the best.

I ran into the fiat while on holidays in Locarno. The guy was super cool and sold me 4 moonswatches. He was open to sell me more but I thought 1k chf in swatches was enough.

Took off the hideous straps and replaced with natos. My wife wants a white rubber for her Uranus so I’m on the search.

Fun! I just picked up the Pluto. It's amazingly comfortable and it's just a fun watch.

Nick Hayek would disagree that it's not really an Omega. Omega has been a part of it since the very beginning and it's a true collaboration. They went into their design archives and used the original design specs from the very first hesalite Speedmaster blueprints to create it. The Omega president was super excited about it once he saw the prototype, and Nick Hayek poached the Omega head of product to lead the whole project. That's the guy who came up with the idea to use colorways from each solar system body. It's got an ETA movement and Swatch chrono subdial positions, reflecting Swatch DNA, but the rest of the DNA is Omega. They say it has revolutionized all of their manufacturing and design going forward and they have created brand new systems and processes to be able to produce these colors en masse. Hayek is like a little kid, giddy with excitement, reflecting on what they can do and where they can go next.

It sounds like the next up to bat could be the Seamaster Professional 300 and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, since they already created the prototypes for those.

Cool. I like the colors on Earth. I have a feeling if I happen to run into one of these out at a retail store it will find its way home with me. Congrats on getting them
