Over polished case pictures
Hello,
I've done lots of searching on google and this forum and stumbled across a few threads with pics on good examples of over polished cases but still not satisfied with the results. I was wondering if people could contribute and post pics of Rolex cases (vintage & modern) they find are undesirable and over polished from lightly over polished to severely over polished. Also, I was curious about the bevel and chamfers on some of the cases. It seems that vintage Rolexes (5513 etc.) have them more pronounced and as you get away from that era the current modern case designs have very weak chamfers for example my BLNR pretty much just has sharp 90 degree angles on the lugs. Maybe it would be nice to specify if the original bevel/chamfer were maintained or reproduced by the polisher or RSC and if the watch did in fact come with the bevels/chamfers like that. I think there are modern cases that have these bevels/ chamfers but did not originally come that way from the Rolex factory? Anyways, here is an obviously over polished case I found on this forum: Thanks! |

Views on this please. I have had to grind the spring pins down a tad otherwise they sit proud out through the lug holes!
