Cleaning watch strap

This seems an idiotic question. But does anyone know the best way to clean a leather watch strap. I've had my Cartier ronde solo for about 3 years and it has a black alligator strap. Anyone know the best way to clean it, especially the inside.

Thanks !

A good leather cleaner, no conditioner, and wipe regularly with a damp microfiber cloth.
Failing any leather cleaner handy, you can use baby wipes as a temporary solution.
