Does it look too big on me?
I am posting to solicit your opinions. I wanted a more "casual" dress watch for work so I opted for a 44mm version of the Girard Perregaux 1966 as opposed to the traditional 40mm. I thought the larger dial would make the watch more versatile and casual enough for the weekends. However, I find myself staring at the watch wondering if it is too big on me. What do you think? Does it look ok or should I replace it with the 40mm case?

looks fine to me. Even in that pic it isn't too big, and wrist shots distort anyway to make a watch appear bigger than it is in real life.

If you have to ask, it's too big. Is that a 44? A 40 is available? What is your height and wrist size?

Wow. That is cool! I have to admit, that looks classier in 40mm. Much appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes, the new SS version comes in two sizes. I'm 185cm (roughly 6 feet 1) in height. I'm not sure of my wrist size. Never bothered to measure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As you stated since you are looking for a casual dress watch its totally fine size wise. Maybe for an actual dress watch its a little large, but for your intended purpose it looks good. Especially with you being 6'1, your large frame will also make the watch look smaller.
Here is an example of a wrist shot vs what a watch looks like in real life. Sorry for the quality, its on an airplane as its the only one i could find. But the watch looks huge on a wrist shot because of the distortion but looks fine in a non wrist shot. Its 46mm and no overhanging lugs. Im 6'5 but have fairly small wrists. You bought it because you like it. There is a reason you didn't get the 40mm initially. |

Not sure why some say "it looks just fine". It is too big and does not look "just fine". Get the right size and it will not only look better but feel better..just like a pair of shoes...bigger size is not better.

You can make any watch look too big to yourself, just look at the first picture compared to the second. Then look in the mirror. It looks completely different.

It looks OK but if you can take a pic in a mirror or at a greater distance from your wrist it would help.

Can you increase the distance of the wrist shot? It is hard to judge when the camera is so close to the wrist.
