197's movement is nice, but 231's clean lines do more for me.

231 due to the simplicity.

I'd have to say 231 just on looks and thinness. If you want gold, look at 289 also.

PAM289 is Luminor, I'm looking at Radiomir. Too bad I can't find the correct info to compare the thickness of both models.

As far as I could find info on the net the 197 should be 15.2 mm and the 231 13.5 mm thick, but I don't know if that info is correct. If this is correct the 231 is the same thickness as the 643.

You are correct on all points. 232/210/643 all almost identical thickness. I've owned them all, including the 190 (steel version of 197). What is your wrist size?

My wrist size is 170mm. I actually own a PAM190 and also a PAM643. The PAM190 sits a bit higher on my wrist because the bottom of the watch is more rounded compared to the PAM643 where the bottom is like flat. Both wear very comfortable on my wrist.

I think I made up my mind already and will go for the PAM231, like they say simplicity is the ultimate complication. And I found a great one at an unbelievable good price.

Sounds great. Good to see another Radiomir fan here. Those 3 will be stunning. I've thought about adding a 231 for some time now, but it'll have to wait.

Can't wait to see some pictures of that watch on your wrist.

197. I prefer to have a seconds hand but the 231 does look 'cleaner'.

Although 197 has a seconds feature, I don't like its dial. I prefer the cleaner look of 231's dial.
