Invicta's New Adjustable Buckle Beats The Pants Off of Rolex

This is part of Invictas new 100% Swiss made line. The buckle features two pushers to expand the bracelet without having to remove the watch.

Great entry level watches. To compare them to Rolex in ANY way is, well

Doxa has had them for years, nothing new. I am not sure Invicta does anything new and innovative. Still nothing close to Rolex quality, fit and finish.

What an absurd reception to a completely valid opinion from someone who's been a member here for years and appears to actually own the watches to which he is making the comparison. Well played, guys.

It's a movie isn't it? Maybe w Russell Crowe or Keanu reeves

That invicta clasp looks miserable. I'll take my glidelock any day everyday

And FYI the rolex DSSD glidelock is adjustable without removing the watch. So not sure what your point is

Prometheus has a similar setup on their clasps ... Very useful on those (few) occasions when I wear my Manta Ray.

Its much easier to adjust than the ratchet buckle on my Sea Dweller.

More convenient when you need an extension? Sure. However, you can't honestly think it looks better though, right? I mean, if it were made to fit your sea dweller, can you actually see yourself switching to that clasp?

Interesting statement and I can kinda see your point. Since I don't own either, take this with a grain of salt. 1, fit and finish leave something to be desired from what I see in your photos. 2, the system on the Invicta is not near as strong or reliable from a design standpoint. It will probably work for most folks but I would hate to do action sports with it as I am sure that with a good whipeout your would see the clasp expand and once loose on your wrist it might cut or otherwise harm you. Requiring the clasp to first be opened then adjusted saves you from that in most cases I should think. Just my $.02

To know the future is to be trapped by it

As much as we want to snob out and bash Invicta, they play a very large role in keeping people worldwide wearing wristwatches instead of abandoning them altogether.

When I walk past an Invicta company store, it is ALWAYS packed with buyers.

Its not about the Brand its not about the build quality its not about what it cost its about the general design its not about wrecking your nose in the air snob status appeal, Its about how well it works and how convenient it is vs Rolex design. I hope this clarifies things.

I don't define good design merely by convenience. Ymmv

Invictas are fun to take apart and rebuild when I'm bored.

Is that a fake Rolex band you have on your "Invicta"? Or do you just wear fake Rolex and play pretend? Maybe one day Mommy will buy you a real one!

I'm not sure you meant that as a stab in the back or were posting a real question. That is my bracelet from my blnr as I had just placed my Everest band on. The invicta was opened up to enjoy taking apart a mechanical movement. By the way to the original post, I'm glad more companies are coming out with adjustable clasps these days as I often fall in the in between sizes throughout the day during season changes. The invicta was found on a trip a few years back and I decided to open it up for a peak inside.
