My favorite of Basel, not a Rolex

The new Heuer Autavia. The 42mm makes me nervous. I'll have to try it on. The new beads of rice bracelet looks great also.

Tag and Omega both had better offerings IMO.

The new Autavia is great. I ordered mine in February so should have it early April. Don't forget 95% of all Autavias Heuer made were also 42mm all be it not the actual model this new Autavia pays homage to.

I have also ordered this watch several months ago and am #1 on my AD's list. Going with the rice bracelet to start. Will add the leather. This one appears to be a winner.

All these vintage reissues is boring to me. And the faux lume. in 10 years time we're going to look back at this period and cringe.

The combination of rehashed vintage with a touch of today doesn't work in my opinion. There's too much emphasis on the "cool" factor.

Nice looking but too thick & would've been better without the date.

Wow, that's a beautiful watch! I am getting sick and tire of waiting for my DaytonaC SS. Maybe I should just get the HEUER AUTAVIA instead?

I have to say i agree...Heur(Tag) hit a home run with this model. I see a rice bead bracelet model on my wrist sooner than later....

It's funny that Rolex never does the reissue thing...because their watches all still look the same as they did 50 years ago!

I think this Autavia looks awesome!

I think the Autavia is okay but looks a little clunky and the date window is unnecessary. It looks rather flat and lacking character, perhaps it's better in real life. Autavia hype will see it successful though and no doubt it will sell out. The Tudor releases are a bit oddball too IMO. I bought an original red Black Bay when they came out but I haven't worn it in a long time now. Maybe i just find it all a bit commercially expedient and not terribly interesting ultimately.

Oh. I thought that the whole hoo-ha of the Autavia Cup and resultant media attention was about a watch that was to be a special limited edition piece. So it's just standard TAG heritage number xxxx. Nothing wrong with that per se but not cause for any great excitement either. Mind you, I was a bit cynical about Seamaster 300 MC but i have to say that in real life it's a lovely watch.

That's true. They allocated the reissue and homage thing to their sister Tudor. Rolex's designs have stood the test of time because they are wonderfully executed. They tweak them over the years.
I just don't dig this reissue thing. I rather spend a few K more and find a nice original Atavia.

That being said this design is better executed than others.

As great as that Autavia looks, I honestly think Sinn hit it out of the park with their U1 Professional. Such a clean, purposeful diving tool, made exceptional with a domed crystal and that lumed no date dial. I grabbed one fast.

Nice watch. Don't like the jug gaps though.
