"Against The Grain" - album of Rory Gallagher, my favourite musician.

Crazy thing is that right now I try to remember what this phrase means...

Tanner Boyle is the little bastard kid from "The Bad News Bears" movies. When I was a child, I had a temper like his.

Back in the AOL days, I could only have 10 digits for a username so it became TannerBoyl.

Use to fly a pair of privately owned B75's. They were painted the same so a simple way of telling them apart was to call one of them B1, and the other one B2 (aka, Bravo One and Bravo Two).

The owner sold both of them and Bravo One is now the Trump 757. N757AF The other one went to Google briefly and then sold again in Asia.

Had a pet wallaby about 25 years ago. The neighbors called me the "kangaroo guy."

Friends call me "Roo" to this day.

I live in Houston. Hence HoustonRoo.

im an Australian that was raised in Canada (Canucks they like to call canadians) so i have a Canadian accent... We also had a couple of polar bears and one of the big theme parks here called "ping ping" & "Canook"
My old Boss was nicknamed Ping Ping because he was a big fat fair skinned guy with white hair and as i was his offsider and it sounded like Canuck the term Canook got stuck to me (although i have no resemblance to a polar bear it was a play on words)
thats where mine came from

My real name is amir, so when choosing a username for online vladamir seems like a good choice. However, most websites require a unique username so i add the "15" for my birthday which is july 15.

I have actually wondered about your username, brandrea means fire sale in Swedish("brand" = fire, "rea" = sale). I guess you do not regularly buy watches at fire sales then...

My childhood nickname. My good friend on my little league and high school team had the same first name. So we figured just by our last know initial would be the easiest way to differentiate ourselves.

Nothing too profound or meaningful with me. I'm not a youngster and was just trying to find something easy to remember and available.

Memento mori translates to "remember that you must die" in Latin. It's a reminder of the inevitability of death, and because of this one must strive to make the most out of life. The phrase also has a profound relationship to watches (and horology, in general) -- we use watches to tell the time, but we're mostly oblivious to the fact that our time in this world grows shorter with every passing second. The idea of death as the driver of life continues to be a powerful concept to me, a constant reminder to take nothing for granted and live life to the fullest.

1983 was the year I was born.
