Pam 671

I may be able to buy a 671 at retail. Way too big for my wrist but do you guys think I'd be able to flip it for some profit?

Yeah that will sell instantly, the question will be for how much and if it will rise.

100% sure you will be able to flip it with a big premium
But if that is your goal I honestly hope you don't get it and the watch goes to a person who really wants and appreciates it

Thanks for the kind words but I actually do appreciate the watch, otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum. I can't wear the watch because I have 6 3/4" wrists and most PAMs, let alone 47mm ones, look terrible on me. My "in" would be because I've spent a large sum of money with a jeweler who's also an AD. I've never purposely bought a watch to flip before but if I can get this one and parlay that into a watch I want that'll fit me I don't think that makes me a terrible person.

I don't think this bronzo will command a premium like the 382 simply due to the fact that the case dimensions have changed and it is lot slimmer than than the 382 and as far as i know die hard ristis won't appreciate the slimmer profile, the butchness of the 382 is gone in 671

It doesn't make you a terrible person and no one has said as much. It's not illegal either, so if that's what you want to do then knock yourself out.

For my 1.65p/2c, I do not agree with what you hope to do either. It's absolutely your decision what you do with your money, your life, etc. but that sort of thing is never going to sit well wit most watch enthusiasts because most of us know what it's like to want a reference and find it unachievable by fair means, mostly because of ridiculous waiting lists that are, in part, fuelled by grey dealers and people such as you who purchase for a quick profit out of greed.

As I've said, you do what you gotta do. It makes no difference to my life nor is it ever going to. However, it is morally wrong and I think you know that already.

^^^^this. i 'may' be able to get a bluzo, but would rather offer it to someone else i know wants it then flip it for a big profit. i think they'll command a premium just like the others, no doubt.

This (the bold) is the way the watch world works everyone, like it or not. If I was rich and buying tons from an AD I would buy and flip. Everyone talks about being high and moral, but we use greys and overseas deals to take advantage of exchange rates etc to get the best deal.

Thing is with Panerai, you never know either. They can destroy the value of a watch in an instant with the release of another. And with the slowness of the watch economy now, I think we'll be seeing more "hot" watches in an attempt to drive sales.
