It will interesting how the elevators will be engineered.... Looks like people would be rocking in the wind some while they work....

The designers seem to think men in NYC walk around in cylinder/top hats.

You're right about that!! Almost inconceivable, actually, how it would be serviced for that kind of catastrophe....

That type of building gives a whole new meaning to "high rise". I can only hope, sprinklers throughout, concrete encased stairways, intercoms, computerized standpipes and command centers, etc etc. And sometimes that isn't good enough. Think World Trade Center.

They (FDNY) certainly try to stay ahead of, and deal with, any new type of construction the engineers throw at them.

They are the best at what they do.

Impressive and I am sure it will be state of the art if it is built.

I read before that whenever a tallest building in the world of some sort is built in a particular country, recession will hit shortly thereafter.
For example, when the Petronas Twin Tower was built in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Asian financial crisis came about in 1997.
When the Burj Khalifa was completed in Dubai in 2008, the property market crashed in Dubai.
The same can also be said for the Empire State Building.
