Bellagio Heist

The Las Vegas Strip has been shut down after masked men hit the Rolex store in the Bellagio.

Let me know if you come across any cheap watches

What a shame!!! We vacationed there 4 years ago and my wife left two rings on the nightstand (not in the safe) and they were stolen. We notified the hotel security (which could have cared less), my attorney contacted them and he got the same response. I talked to the head of security and he said, "you'd be surprised how many people have things stolen when they come to Vegas and lose money". I don't gamble btw. Sorry for the ramble, and I'm personally glad they got robbed but hopefully no one hurt...

Nice! Now whoever buys them can wear them for 5 years, abuse them and return them for a full refund

I was/am still so mad at this hotel!!! They offered to refund our stay and incidentals, which I later accepted from the advice of my attorney. We were pretty much screwed bc my wife didn't put them in the safe. There is a disclosure when you check in covering them. My wife has always been very careless/trusting with, but it was a lesson learned. The two rings valued over $8k. The Bellagio staff are complete scumbags!!!!!!

I just can't imagine leaving two rings worth $8k in ANY hotel room ANYWHERE for ANY reason. You realize that the hotel employees know that the hotel can't put cameras in the rooms for obvious reasons, right? So they know that nothing they do (steal) in your room can ever be proven later. Why wouldn't they take $8k of jewelry left out in the room unsecured? I know it's wrong, but I almost don't blame them. Talk about asking for it...that is unconscionable to me that someone would trust a casino cleaning staff not to steal $8k worth of jewelry when given the opportunity.

That sucks man, especially because they didn't even care and thought you were trying to pull a fast one on them.

Yeah you wont blame them at all? Really that's completely stupid to say! Maybe because you're a thief too and would have stolen them as well! My wife is trusting and careless, and I am NOT!! World is full of thieves and idiots who make stupid comments.......

My guess honestly is that the security staff couldn't have cared less.
